Inmate 9721


Inmate 9721 is a Zine about Idaho State penitentiary inmate Ernestine Wanda Paul, whom was incarcerated from 1957 to 1959.

This is an abridged history of Ernestine’s life from birth to incarceration. The original artwork and zine were produced for the “32 Cells” 2020 art show put on by the Swell Artist Collective, and hosted at the Old Idaho Penitentiary.

zines is 6”x 5”, saddle stapled and printed on 28 lb Bright White satin paper.
Every zine is folded, assembled, stapled and trimmed by hand.
